Paul McCartney – Who Cares
Sir Paul McCartney has released a new music video for ‘Who Cares’. An anti-bullying song from his latest album Egypt Station.
Same as the song’s lyrics, the six-minute long film is also based on a anti-bullying theme.
The film starts with soaking wet Emma Stone entering Dr. Lorenz’s (a behavioral hypnotist and meteorologist played by Paul McCartney) office from whom she seeks help to battle her demons. The therapy (song) starts with Macca hypnotizing Stone using a turntable with a swirl on it.

Also, earlier this year McCartney said in an interview for the BBC that ‘Who Cares’ was inspired by Taylor Swift’s relationship with her fans. Who he described as ‘sort of a sisterly thing‘. On which he later added;
“I was imagining talking to one of these young fans and saying, ‘Have you ever been bullied? Do you get bullied?'” he explained. “Then I say, ‘Who cares about the idiots? Who cares about all this? Who cares about you? Well … I do.’”
About Egypt Station
Egypt Station is the 17th solo studio album by the former Beatle. It was released in September this year by Capitol Records. This is also McCartney’s first studio release since New in 2013.
The record contains 16 tracks on the standard version and 2 bonus tracks on the Target version. Also, all of the songs including ‘Who Cares’ are written by Paul McCartney with the exception of ‘Fuh You’ and ‘Nothing for Free’ for which he had a little help of Ryan Tedder.
The album’s name however, has no special meaning according to Paul himself. He simply liked the words.
“I liked the words ‘Egypt Station.’ – he said. ” It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make“. Which he later followed with; “Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”
