1973 – The Allman Brothers Band started a five-week run at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 chart with their fourth studio album ‘Brothers and Sisters’.
1973 – Marvin Gaye topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with ‘Let’s Get It On’ on this day September 8 in music history.
1979 – Led Zeppelin topped the UK Albums chart with their eight and final studio album ‘In Through the Out Door’ on this day September 8. It also reached No.1 in Canada, the US, and New Zealand.
