1961 – Pat Boone topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with ‘Moody River’. The song was also a chart-topper in Canada and New Zealand that year, while in the UK it peaked at No.18.

1965 – The Four Tops went to number one in the US with ‘I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)’ on this day June 19 in music history.

1968 The Rolling Stones started a two-week stint at No.1 on the UK Singles chart with ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’. The song reached No.1 in Australia, Germany, Netherlands and New Zealand as well.

2010 – With her sixth studio album ‘Bionic’, singer Christina Aguilera topped the UK Albums chart on this day June 19 in music history. Her second chart-topper in the country.

2010 – Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg hit No.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with ‘California Gurls’ for the first of six consecutive weeks. The song was a worldwide hit that year and it became a chart-topper in eight other countries, including the UK, Australia and Canada.

2010 – Folk rock singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jack Johnson scored his second number one album in the US with ‘To the Sea’ on this day June 19.
