On this day November 13 in 1953 – A unique situation happened in the UK when Frankie Laine replaced  David Whitfield at No.1 on the Singles chart with his rendition of ‘Answer Me’, the very same song Whitfield was at No.1.

1965 – The soundtrack album ‘The Sound of Music’ to the musical drama film of the same name topped the US Billboard 200 chart.
