1969 – A day after Brian Jones was fired, the Rolling Stones announced that Mick Taylor would take his place as the group’s guitarist.
1971 – The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded Paul and Linda McCartney a Gold Disc for their album ‘Ram’ which sold over 500k copies. The album was a chart-topper in Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the UK that year.
