1965 – The Walker Brothers topped the UK Singles chart with their rendition of the Hal David and Burt Bacharach penned song ‘Make It Easy on Yourself’.

1967 – The Doors released ‘People Are Strange’ through Elektra Records on this day September 23 in music history. The single became a chart-topper in Canada and reached No.12 in the US.
